Found out 4 things about my sister today:
1) she doesn't mind spending on me,
2) she doesn't like homosexuals (uh-oh),
3) she can switch from looking like a minah to looking like an ah lian at the drop of a hat, or rather, a hair clip.
4) she smokes.
1: She kept asking "Do you want it or not?" or "How about this?" or "Do you like that?" when we were in town today. We rarely go out, just the two of us. See we aren't exactly close. She's always been the rebellious one- the kind of person my mum warns me to stay away from. She's seldom at home, & when she is, she's either in front of the computer or sleeping. So this is definitely one of the better days I've spent with her.
2: We saw this homosexual couple in front of us holding hands. She went, "What's wrong with some people?" And I thought of telling her today that I had a girlfriend. She used to be ok with gays & lesbians. I suppose she's been influenced or something. She used to go "So? They're humans too what." You think she'll kill me if she finds out?
3: We were in the changing room & she suddenly exclaimed, "Eh, I look like a minah ah, with my hair tied, my fringe like that & my huge hoop earrings?" She removed her hair clip and voila!, ah lian alert. We had a good laugh in the changing room. I think we were in there for 20 minutes. The guy outside had to ask if we needed help or something.
4: This one I've always suspected. I think she's got 5 lighters in her clothes closet. (No, its not a ploy to burn her old clothes.) & she often reeked of smoke when she came home. Me in denial would reason with the voice inside my head that it was her friends who smoked hence the stench on her clothes. Anihoo, today she went "I've got a confession to make..." And she told me. I was pretty emotionless. I just said "Oh I kinda suspected already.. blah.. blah.. blah.." I won't tell my mom like she asked. At that point I was about to blurt my secret out to her. But after seeing her reaction earlier, I bit my tongue. Someday I'll tell her. That's if she doesn't find out before I do.
My sister wanted to bring me to Zouk before we went home. "Outside only. Just to show you how it looks like." My sister isn't like an onion with many layers. She's just a little kuku sometimes.
Have I introduced my sister to you? Everyone, meet Marian. She's turning 20 in less than 2 weeks & is currently swinging single. Any takers?
